We Are Crushing It!
Students want to make the most of their time! Sagonaska students realize that because this is a one year program, they don't have a lot of time to learn to read. The students are very eager to learn to read when they get to Sagonaska because they are more than ready to read.
Our students are focused! Our students want to learn to read because for many years, their disability has stood in the way of their reading progress. The students stay focused because they know, that through the accommodations provided here, they CAN overcome their LD and learn to read.
All of the conditions for learning are met! Sagonaska is a residential program. Students have made a great sacrifice to be away from home during the week in order to learn to read. Teachers, residence counselors and support staff are able to be sure that our students have everything they need in order to read.
