The Weekly Update
We started our week off with a circle. We explained to talked about how far the students have come since September and how much they have grown. Students are progressing in all aspects of their learning here at Sagonaska.
As I explained at the end of last week, students started the newest math unit - measurement. Students are investigating volume. The coolest part is, that the kids are using MinecraftEdu to inquire about the volume of rectangular based prisms.
Rocket AWESOMENESS!
As part of our weekly "Celebrate the Hero" goal learn something new, one of the high school teachers Miss. Miller, gave students the opportunity to learn how to build a rocket! All of the students that took part had the opportunity to learn about what makes a rocket fly, and the importance of the design phase.
Coming Home...
Your children will also be coming home this weekend with their LD pamphlets for next year. Please go through the pamphlet with them and if there is something they want to add, we can do that pretty easily.
Also coming home this week is a permission form to go to The Brakeroom. The Brakeroom is a coffee/bike shop that has recently opened in Belleville. The proprietor of the shop, Adam, face timed in with us while we were planning our pamphlets. We are going for a visit to see his how his plan came to fruition and also to showcase the student's pamphlets. Please fill out the permission forms and send them back to the school on Tuesday.
Have a fantastic long weekend with family and friends!
